My first Vmod need help :DDD - Page 3

How do you mean, GPUZ has no way of knowing you modded the card. Best to keep track of them with a Digital Multi Meter when you are adjusting. I always tried to install voltage monitoring points with all my mods. I never liked depending on software.
Mods look good by the way, Getting on those tiny pins can be a real bear.

so no software can tell me the current value of the voltage? i try gpuz and hwinfo but both do not exceed de 1.2 V but probably i've exceeded that value...

...temperatures were raised very...

it is possible that there is some hardware limit? i read on web something like OCP etc....

thank you so much!!!!! thumb.gif

What does Afterburner say? I'm sure there is OCP and OVP built in but you should be able to adjust some before they kick in. Still the DMM is best as it will always tell the truth. OCCT and an MSI motherboard scared me once into thinking there was only 9 volts on my 12 volt rail. DMM read 12.3 so everything was fine. You just can't always trust the built in sensors and software.

afterburn will not allow me to change the voltage and don't show me the actual value of the voltage frown.gif

and all software that i try just stopped at 1.2 V frown.gif

sorry for my bad english .....

Correct, you will need a digital multimeter.

Soldering looks good!

Okk so i have to weld again smile.gif
Noe for increase the voltage i have to turn the VR...but how much? If i rotate all i can burn the graphic card?

Thank to all!!!

Yes, it will supply to much voltage and likely destroy the card.

Better temperature can allow me to increse frequency? After vmod i was able Increase core clock frequen but i don't know if the temperature or the vmode allow mevto do it...

Just like any OC you need to do this systematically. Adjust clocks, Test. Adjust voltage, test, repeat. Always being mindful of the temps. Eventually you will find the thermal limit of your current cooling solution and then you will need to think upgrade. I always put my volt modded cards under water cooling when I did the mods. Saved me the hassle of needing to tear everything apart later.
