[TPU] Corsair Expands PC Case Line with a Trio of Carbide Series SPEC Gaming Cases - Page 3

These cases were developed specifically for certain regions, and the industrial design was done in concert with our tech marketing and forums communities in those regions. Though it'll be sold worldwide, the Carbide SPEC series cases will be primarily focused in lower-cost regions where the options were really, really bad for enthusiasts.

GET CALLED OUT!

George, I really like these designs and these are very nice cases for the price. I, for one, absolutely love windowed cases and I appreciate my 350D window very much.
Good job.

I kinda dig the looks. A little pizazz.

EDIT: Just another thought. I really would appreciate the case dimensions also given in inches. Thanks

Cooler Master Elite 430 , HAF 912+, and friends, look out!

The designs Corsair is coming out with are definitely polarizing.

edit: SPEC-01 should have 2 USB 3.0 ports instead of 1 USB 3.0 and 1 USB 2.0... seems like a waste of a header

SPEC-02 seems to have more of a traditional look with less grille

Pretty nice for the price... are there even cases at this price range that include a window? Do they only come in black and red?

Only problem I have is that one reminds of darth vader and the other the Cooler master HAF series, besides that I think they are okay lol.

CorsairGeorge does the offset allow the h105 or deeper to fit?

Nice prices by the way.

It looks exactly like a 200R with a window and "gaming style" front bezel strapped on.

well as usual a new styling is applied to some new cases and everyone is split.
I am glad some people hate it, otherwise it would just be a boring box.

Love the grilles, the thicker ones especially on the first and last case, aggressive looking like a muscle car.
A clean interior and cable management and all from around $50??? well I know plenty of people who would love a case like that. and just think of the paintjobs that people could come up with.

Well done Corsair, and thankyou for bringing out cases that compete with the lower price ranges, I paid a big whack for my C70 but many of my friends can't bring themselves to spend that kind of dough even if they are jealous of my ammo crate smile.gif

It's more than that I believe.

see http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Carbide-SPEC-02-Gaming-CC-9011051-WW/dp/B00I0MKMG2

"Tons of fan mounts: Front - 2 x 140/120mm (1 x 120mm LED included), Top - 2 x 120mmo Rear - 120mm (included), Bottom - 120mm"
"Dust filters for front and PSU intake" --- missing bottom again frown.gif
"The SPEC-02 features an angular, high-airflow front panel, a huge windowed side panel and a front 120mm LED fan. Add to that our USB 3.0 and native, tool-free SSD and HDD installation and you can have your killer gaming rig up and running in minutes. Most cases at this price point don't give you the combination of great looks and great features that the SPEC-02 does. Up to dual 140mm front intake fan, an rear 120mm exhaust, and room for massive graphics cards makes the SPEC-02 stand out among the crowd."

"The SPEC-03 features an industrial, high-airflow front panel, a huge windowed side panel and a front 120mm LED fan. Add to that our USB 3.0 and native, tool-free SSD and HDD installation and you can have your killer gaming rig up and running in minutes.

I'd say it's more of an evolution from 200R to 230T and now SPEC-02 / SPEC-03

According to OCUK , SPEC-03 supports dual 140mm fans in front although I'm not sure of that since the table on Techpowerup says 140mm or 2x120mm.

I actually like the SPEC-02 a lot. Might consider this case for a media PC/Server build.

I like the spec 01&02, they seem like pretty solid more budget friendly cases, not the biggest fan of the 03's design but i know there's a lot of people that'd like it.
