Looks neat, but so did the others.

Watches advertised as "durable" barely survive what I put them through. I have doubts any smartwatch will ever stand a hard work environment.
so this runs off of google now i presume for all its automated info?
well google now has never worked for me other than randomly sayin i have a package 3 days after the fact.
ive given it all the freedom it wants, i even tried doing most things through it for a couple weeks...it never became more predictive.
i must be doing it wrong because all the editorials on gnow make it look and sound amazing....and then if this watch runs off of it.

I have always thought it would be cool to have a smartwatch with a headphone jack, so if someone could do that, get on that.

I just thought of something that no one has brought up.... who is going to be the mobile carrier? or is it GPS based to update?

Most professional fitness trackers can't do half of these things, and the half they can do they do poorly. You seem to be asking for quite a bit.

There are already products on the market that can determine speed and distance. They aren't 100% perfect, but once calibrated they are reasonably accurate. Also, the same products can give you a rough idea of how many calories that you have burned. Calculating that isn't as hard as you might think, sure there are some variables and other factors but still. There are plenty of watches that can calculate heart rate as well.

Just take a look at Nike+ products for example.

I've never even considered that but after thinking about that, I would definitely use that. But doesn't that kind of already exist with the ipod shuffle/nano? And wouldn't it get in the way? I would think bluetooth would be a better solution.

Bluetooth headphones or earbuds are much more practical.

I'm in for a pair of these on Kickstarter, if you or anyone else is also interested.

I think ill just forget watches and smart watches in general. They seem lame and pointless unless you're wearing a classy rolex to impress someone for some reason.
