670 sli 4gb or 780ti?

Hello everyone thumb.gif

I recently grabbed two EVGA gtx 670 4gb on sale for $400 rolleyes.gif

I am currently using a gtx 680 sc sig+ and running two 1440p monitors ( both are QNIX and one is OC to 120hz)

My question is.... would I be better off selling both 670s and go for a single strong card like the 780ti? Or should I sell my 680 and use the 670s?

How much do you think I can get for 680 and the 670?thumb.gif

any information / thoughts would be great!

So that's where a couple of those cards went! I wanted a second one for sli. Hopefully you decide to keep them, I'm curious on your opinion on how they do at 1440p. Screaming deal on that card. I'm jealous.

Keep the 670 sli, sell the 680, wait for big Maxwell. A 780ti would not outperform the 670s enough to justify the extra $300.

Agreed. 670 SLI to 780Ti is mostly a semi-side/upgrade that won't manifest much of a performance difference in real world usage. Especially since OP managed to get two of the 4GB versions, so he is never going to be memory constrained (unless he goes crazy with mods in Skyrim).

thumb.gif took a lot of refreshing to get the second one, kept going out of stock! rolleyes.gif

Thanks for all the replies! Leaning towards to keeping the 670s after all the replies thumb.gif

3 more questions:

1) I have a corsair AX 650w psu, do I need to upgrade to a 750? ( Currently running an i7 @ 4.7GHz w/ h100 cooler and 2 HD )

2) I read somewhere that sometimes SLI causes micro-stuttering, is this for every SLI? Or just for the unlucky people? rolleyes.gif

3) What is the minimum you would say I should sell the gtx 680 SC sig+ 4GB for? Also is eBay the best place to sell it? thumb.gif

BTW Rep'd all that replied thumb.gifthumb.gif

Well probably not on here but the cheapest used gtx 680 is about 380 on amazon, and the cheapest used gtx 670 is $250 so if you sell it on there you can under price them and sell the gtx 670 for 225 each and the gtx 680 for around 300
