Deathaddee 2013 + which mouse pad ? - Page 2

I've owned a lot of mousepads, I always go back to QCK+.

This is my order:

Mouse pads:
(I currently play 40cm/360, so the 17" pads will work great for a game like CS or Battlefield)

1. Steelseries QCK+ - Strangely, the cheapest pad I have is the one I keep using. Has just the right balance of speed vs. stopping/friction. Really like the size and thinness as well as you can put it right up to the edge of the desk.
2. Zowie GT-F Speed - This pad is cloth, but kind of a hard pad like surface, really fast, but somehow controllable as well. Stitched edges, great backing that sticks like glue. Awesome water resistant surface. If this were a bit bigger it would be number one.
3. Artisan Hien Soft L - Great surface, best backing, just wish it was just a tad bigger and less expensive. Initial movement is a little slow, but has a really nice glide and accurate. The rough texture doesn't bother my skin. If you like thick mouse pads, these Aritsan are the best, the foam they use doesn't have all of the air bubbles you see in a normal mousepad giving it a comfortable but consistent feel.
4. QCK Heavy - Like the QCK+ but thicker. The only problem is it does not have the fancy foam like the Artisan pads have, so you can feel peaks and valleys. Also, too soft so mouse drags a bit.
5. Razer Goliathus Control Extended - BIG! 3ft. long so I never see the edge, nice stiched edges, The name is a bit of a misnomer as the pad is quite fast with it's textured material, but this roughness sometimes feels like your in or out of groove when trying to be precise, Green paint is bad as it's ugly and you can feel it. Also, the height can be restrictive when aiming vertically.
6. Artisan Hayate L - This is a very unique and fast surface. Many people like this, but I didn't like the lack of friction to stop. Always has that slightly out of control feeling for me.
7. Razer Goliathus Speed Extended - BIG! 3ft. long so I never see the edge, nice stiched edges Speed feels somewhere between the QCK and Puretrak, so fast but controllable. I can't use it as my palm/pinky kind of stick to it. If you have dry hands or don't drag may be okay.
8. Steel Series 9HD - Good hard pad but too small to play low sens. Prepare to buy a bunch of mouse feet.
9. Puretrak Talent - 19"x14" is an amazing size, surface has a really silky feel, I can't use it as my palm/pinky kind of stick to it. If you have dry hands or don't drag may be okay.

Before this I mainly used X-trac hard and cloth pads or Func 1030 which were good in their day.

Qck+ is great and Qck+ Team Edition (read: fnatic, Nip, sk, cs:go, navi etc..) is even better imho for infrared mice like the deathadder, because it is faster then a normal qck+

I think the deathadder is okay with print on mouse pads, so the team QCK's are definitely nice. However, if you move to something like a Zowie mouse you'll have some trouble. They tend to have trouble with inconsistent prints.

My shiden kai isn't slow ever. and its soft... but its a glass one.. and they come plenty big enough I got a Mid and It's too big
they come in alot of sizes, and types, and tons of different characteristic so you can get the feel you want. and each model comes in various colors and firmness

well worth the price tag too I paid 45 for mine after shipping. but its coming from japan so what would you expect.. Also if there's anything else you want in japan these guys will get it for you... Lets say there are some really nicer g skill ram in stock on co.jp these guys woul get it for you and ship it to you. Or you want some of the sexy asia only GFX cards.. or perhaps apacer rams

I didn't have them do it for me because they didn't have enough of the sticks in stock at the place i was looking. But they contacted the company for me and checked to see if they had more in stock or were expecting any...

Is there any noticeable difference between the Shiden kai and non kai?

EDIT: I found a Shiden with new MID hardness (SHD-NMID-M), Is it any different than the one on the Artisan website? (SDK-MID)

I would recommend new goliathus speed on each mousepad for deathadder 2013. I wouldn't recommend destructor 2 though. But destructor 2 works flawless with PTE sensors.

I think the kai is newer or something.. I don't know for sure

i just looked on the site n it says for the Kai " Glass coating. Glide is faster than SHIDEN.
*Not crack when dropped. Can be roll up."
