BSOD in BF4

Hey guys. I was in another normal gaming session of BF4, when after about 45 minutes of Domination my game crashes and the BSOD appears. Now, I'm not too worried by this, as I have two aggressively overclocked parts, but I am curious as to what the problem might have been. My CPU OC at 4.5 1.36v has been stable for about a month now, and I recently unlocked the voltage on my 580 and bumped the core and memory clocks waaaay up. IIRC, BSODS are signs of CPU failure, but my CPU has been incredibly stable for an entire month of gaming. I was wondering if it could have been my GPU's VRAM, which I sort of punched in to a high amount the other day while overclocking, ran 3DM11, and called it a day. Anyways, I downclocked my CPU to a known OC of 4.3 @ 1.27v, and took my GPU's ram down 250 MHz. I'm perfectly fine with these OC's as it is, as I only lost maybe 5 frames, but I was just curious to what the problem was. I really wish I had that Blue Screen Tracker application now, so I don't exactly know what the error code was, but any of you guys have any ideas?

I'm going to head back into the game and stress test the system again to make sure that it won't BSOD once more.

All good guys, was a CPU issue.

That looks like some pretty hefty voltage for 4.5 ghz. Glad you found the issue smile.gif

Yeah... temps were good though, but I took her down to 4.3 @ 1.27 and I lost a whole 1/2 a frame! wha-smiley.png
