Wise to trade 2x GTX 670 for 780/ti?

Would this be a wise move? If so would it be a straight swap or should I put money in? Looking for 1440p gaming, mainly battlefield 4.

thanks

Depends on your preferences, I did the exact same swap myself after selling my 670s separately. You'd have to put up a little bit of cash more than likely on a 780. For a 780 Ti there'd be a bit of more money put into the trade+cash.

For gaming purposes it's a slight downgrade in performance, of course you don't have the possible hassle of SLI along with higher power consumptions, higher temps, and lower vram to be used.
You can overclock a majority of the 780s with the 780 classy being the popular choice and that'd bring the 780 up fairly well but still below the 670s.

I've been happy with the trade myself and I didn't pay any more and had an extra ~$35 or so left over but my 670s were sold before the 780 price drops so that's something to consider
It's been good so far @ 1440p 60Hz and haven't looked back especially for a cheaper water cooling setup since there's only one block to work with now

If i had the chance to trade SLI 670s for a 780 (With no money payed to them, Cards only) I would take it. The overall benefit of a newer card and a 1 card setup would be too enticing for me rolleyes.gif

I've not been offered it, I'm just pondering it. I got a second gtx 670 today which is great, but my Fps has gone down due to some stupid problem on bf4 apparently. So I'm having to turn settings down just to make it work like it did with the single gtx 670, which is farcical.

I don't really wanna wait for months til the problem is fixed, and I've had an r9 290 and hated it so the 780 came to mind.

I am swapping my two EVGA GTX 670' ftws for EVGA GTX 780 SC Sli - I have to put some money down, but i have a feeling that if i wait till GTX 8xx series, we wont get much for our 670 cards.
So i would do it before they lose too much of their value

About the 780 vs 780 Ti
I am going with 780 because of i think the 780 Ti is too expensive compared to the performance gain.
(This is in danish krones - but you get the point
Gtx 780 sli = 7200
Gtx 780 Ti sli = 10000
That is a price difference of 2800 dkr. for about 10-15 fps (i think 2800 dkr is around 300 GBP)
