i5s also have turbo boost, while the i3s don't. They're better in lightly threaded games as well.

I think you should post a budget and what you actually plan to do with your pc rather than throw out wild claims about 'modern' games only using 2 cores. From the looks of it, you're good if you want to play solitaire on ultra high settings.
