Question about True Spirit 120M

HI, someone has tried to use this cooler with dual fans? and how it perform in this way?

i'm dying to find a dual tower cooler under 150mm to fit in my haf-xb, and i don't like low profile cooler
post #2 of 20
I have not tried it but as it's basically the same cooler as True Spirit 120 it should perform the same. I have not used the TS120 or TS120M, but have used their older versions. My Ultra 120A is 7 years old now. On it using 2 fans only gave about 1c improvement at full speed.

Thermalright Macho 120 gives better performance than TS120 and is 150mm tall. It\s is about 4c better than TS120

150mm should fit in with the roof fan, cooler master say that the max height you have is 155mm

btw what's the difference between the default and the rev.a?

Nothing important. Probably the black piece on top of fins is only difference. wink.gif

Same with it's big brother the Macho Rev.A, Macho Rev.A (B/W), and Macho Black. Which are second generation of original HR-02

The mounting on the TrueSpirit120M B/W RevA has no backplate , same for the Macho120 RevA.

mount system adopted from Macho RevA http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/cooling/2012/11/16/thermalright-macho-rev-a-review/1

Good catch on the Macho 120, but Macho Rev.A does have backplate.

another question, but i think the answer is yes

is the macho interchangeable in direction? because on youtube everyone use the "ram direction" instead of the MB panel direction, which i find pretty dumb
post #9 of 20
Macho can be mounted facing any direction.

Why is it dumb to mount it with offset toward the back?

But keep in mind there is the Macho Rev. A at 162mm tall with 140mm fan
http://www.thermalright.com/html/products/cpu_cooler/hr-02_macho_reva.html

And Macho 120 at 150mm tall with 120mm fan
