Just looked up when I purchased the drive, Sept 2010. I believe the Green drives only have a 2 year warranty period. Either way I'll be sure to double check when I get home.

yes, sad to say i think you're right. i got lucky with my 2tb drive that just went bad a few weeks ago, still 3 months left on the warranty.

I have a 3tb toshiba as well and it has not let me down yet. It was even a clearance item at micro center, no box or accessories. got it for $92, figured it was worth the gamble and it was.

That's actually the one I decided to go with before seeing your post. I got Micro Center to price match Newegg's price which was $10 less. Thanks for the input everyone, thumb.gif
