He was only correcting a comment you made though.

If he was being harsh then there were other points he could have picked you up on like the comment you made about non-source based distros not playing well with compiling your own source; which is completely untrue.

Oh for crying out loud; why does everything always come back to you? Seriously, drop the melodrama.

Nobody has any prejudices against you nor Slackware. Period.

The constant "why do you keep attacking me" comments are really winding me up. It's impossible to have any kind of discussion with you without you taking things personally. It's pathetic for a grown man to act this way every time someone disagrees with even the slightest of things.

Oh trust me, I had a long draft written up picking all that crap apart but decided against it, as I really didn't want to get into it, and was part of the reason I decided I didn't want to continue that because if that's what he believes... then I would have gotten nowhere. But using every distribution I have, never had an issue with any source, bin or run file unless they were built specifically with a certain distribution in mind, which even then doesn't hurt it too much.

The amount of stuff he's pulling out of his rear... I don't even.

The sad thing is I have an active Slackware box that I guess I supposedly hate, and have a prejudice towards. Gah, 8 years down the drain for that horrible headache, glad someone finally talked some sense into me. I shall install something less rotten on it today! rolleyes.gif

It's all good though, he can think of me however he wants, it's pretty obvious he's out of touch with how other distributions actually work in today’s world and not a decade ago. And then accuse me of "not considering another point" while saying I have to drop the conversation just to " get the last word in ". Well, It's a public forum, you want the last word enorbet, then take it, I'm simply walking away from a conversation that is going nowhere but back and forth and I'm not in the mood to argue, but yeah totally just wanted the last word.

Oh I love Kevin Spacey too (ever since American Beauty which is one of my all time favourite movies). I hadn't realised he was in House Of Cards though. I'll definitely need to check that series out biggrin.gif
