A few tweaks to the UI, and you just know Squad will be willing to make them, and I'm sure we can look forward to taking a seat in many a failRocket.

Spiffy. I can definitely see it working with lander cans and aerospace cockpits, crew pods not so much. Maybe with the RasterPropMonitor glass cockpit mod.

I must say I am very much looking forward to Lunar Flight, which is what got me started thinking if it would work in KSP:

Consumer version should indeed be available in 2014. My guess would be probably for xmas season. Reason being that EVE:VR (now called Valkyrie) is supposed to be "exclusive" Occulus launch title and it was scheduled for 2014 release last I looked (I got some kind of code for special fighter in that game as part of EVE Collectors edition). Ofc it seems now it is supposed to be also coming to PS4 and it's recently announced VR headset so who knows. As far as I understood it's supposed to launch first as Occulus exclusive and then come to PS4 and the Sony VR headset at some later date which is not what I would go as far as call "exclusive" but whatever. As long as it's not dumbed down bcos of console I do not care on what other platforms its available also.

We are talking close up screens here being very close to your face and the dpi already being extremely high. I can assure you 1080P will already be plenty sharp and in no way low 1440P would be high.

no its not, because its close upto your face doh.gif

sorry but your wrong. not just in relation to the resolution of 1080p and the fact the oculus presents half of that per eye, but the whole understanding of how the human eye works. you need to go back to school

the closer something is .. the more the pixels appear separated hence the need for a higher resolution because the human eye has immense resolving power at close ranges! you simply cant argue that, nobody would agree other wise we wouldn’t need 4k we would just move our faces closer to a 640x480 screen. Seriously, you don’t actually think this do you?

so, im sorry if im out of touch with "reality" & the physical biology of the human eye as I understand it pretty & much everyone on here and around the world understands it in the same way too.

But I assure you it is reality that 1080p divided by two ( per eye) up close still provides a grid effect even if its much lower than the 720p dev kit and putting a screen closer to your face doesn’t increase the dpi upsidedwnsmiley.gif

Here is a website that people need to watch to get a simulation of the differences between DK1 and DK2, and consequent CV1, and how low persistence looks. Its a fairly accurate simulation in regards to the experience from my experience with demoing DK1.

It's exclusive to Oculus on the PC.

I have been waiting for this for so long. Finally going to jump on the train.

Wowza cannot wait for this!

I wonder if this would be viable to make a virtual workspace and just sit and use this instead of multimonitor, as long as the oled displays are ips.
