Assuming you're concerned with the max temp of the MOSFETS themselves, junction temps as high as 175C are "supported" on some modern MOSFETS, though that's very nearly the melting point of the solder holding it to the board so I wouldn't want to be anywhere near there personally... Though in theory the temps of the package would be lower than the junction temp by a margin that I honestly couldn't guess, so there's probably plenty of room for error there before the parts start falling off the board.
I expect the junction temps in AMD CPUs probably do reach ~90C pretty often. When we look at "intel" CPU "temp reporting" that is probably much closer to a real "junction temp."Edited by mdocod - 3/27/14 at 3:34am
