windows logo splash screen cuts out then back in during startup

Hey Guys iv been wondering if anyone can help me figure out why windows logo splash screen cuts out then back in during startup. It just cuts out and then back in within a second or two. It did it on my previous system as well and i never bothered with it until now. I don't think its a hardware or driver issue seeing as it has done it on two sep systems with totally diff components that i have had. the only thing that has stayed the same is my monitor and my windows 7 install disk. any help or explanation would be greatly aprriciated thanks alot.

Do you have crossfire or sli?

Mine used to do that when I had my main monitor on a HDMI cable. It would POST on one of the secondary monitors and then show the logo for a split second and then just have a black screen for a bit while the the main monitor got its motor running.

I never gave it much mind, though.

Actually it is probably just your monitor switching from the ultra low resolution the BIOS will use to the resolution set in your OS once the HAL hands off the hardware to the OS. Some monitors do this pretty seamlessly and others do more of a reset.

Does the monitor black out at all if you change the resolution once you are in Windows?
