EVGA GTX 780 SC Lime Mod

So after a few days of stressing if I want to do this or not, I grew a pair and finally took the card apart and started painting away. I personally impressed with the results, especially since I usually suck at paint jobs tongue.gif , what do you guys think!

So obviously I started off by taking the card apart , the process was fairly easy, but then again I paid extra attention not to ruin my $600 GPU.

After disassembly , I sprayed all the silver parts Flat black, and all the black parts Lime Green, I applied one coat every 45 mins or so 5 times over just to make sure it was completely even

After I let it all dry and put it back together , I couldn't believe I have accomplished such a good paint job, I was stooked!

I also sanded the GEFORCE GTX lettering which scratched off the green coating, so now the lettering shines white, although it's hard to see in pictures
I also painted the EVGA back plate I had lime green, to match the rest of the card.

Finally after doing everything I could as of now to the card, I painted the PCI-E slot covers, and the ring of my Corsair SP fans

My future plan is to paint the PCI-E slots and the RAM Lime Green to match everything else!
though that is VERY sketchy, so I may hold off tongue.gif we'll see how bored I get biggrin.gif
I also plan on stenciling on some black tribal onto the back plate of the GPU!

For the PCI slots, spray some of your paint into a small container and use a hand brush to paint the slots. It's a little thin, but it covers nicely.

Nice job on the card. Looks good.
