Mionix Propus 380

Thread Starter
So I bought a Mionix Propus 380, hoping for a high quality mousepad. I really wanted to love it, but it doesn't work! I have a Razer Naga Epic, and when moving the mouse "up and down" on the mouse pad, it gets stuck. The cursor moves a few lines, but then "catches". The mouse tracks great moving side to side though. I looked on the website and Mionix says the Propus 380 works with both laser and optical. Does anyone have similar experiences with this?
Help!

Hate to be the one to break it to you, but there is a long line of people on this board that loathe that mouse pad. Myself included. It doesn't work with a good portion of my mice, including my Sensei and anything with a Philips Twin-Eye sensor. The flecks of glitter in the pad also wreak havoc on optical mice.

I have two of them that I'll never use again...

Their pads seem to be bad afterall.
Couple of reports regarding wear out quality and peeling off edges aswell.

Get something solid like a Puretrak Talent, QCK Heavy / QCK Mass, Roccat Taito or Golathus Speed.. list goes on.

Mionix told me that they are revamping their mousepad line this year, so keep an eye out for that. Until then, yeah, not very impressive. A good HARD alternative is the Corsair MM400.

I use a Mionix Sargas, It works great while it lasts, but the surface has degraded quite quickly.

That's quite interesting. I've had my Propus 380 for a little over 2 years I think and it has worked perfectly for my Gigabyte M6980. It hasn't worn out in the slightest and I'm a pretty avid PC gamer, my wife even does video editing all day while I'm at work. So it's being used a good 12-16 hours a day for 2 years and aside from being a little smoother in the middle, it's held up perfectly. My only concern is how to clean it properly, but it hasn't peeled or fallen apart, so it must be ok.
