im thinking more like a balance sort of headphones. good for gaming and good for music as well.
most of the time that i play public matches, i play a music alongside my games. so its a plus points for me if it really sound good.

thats why im looking at the senn this time, coz i think thats the only good quality brand we have here thats within my price range.
spending like 400++ on a headset or headphone is a no for me.

So what exactly is your budget? I've seen a bunch of different price points thrown around in this thread so I just want to clarify before I make a recommendation thumb.gif

thanks for the post man. i appreciate it alot smile.gif

IF you get one of those 4 headphones, it had better be the sennheiser. It is actually a decent headphone, with a very nice mic.

That said, I personally would pick another option. For the same price, you can get much better, just not from the "gaming" section of your local electronics store.

Since you are mostly gaming, and you want something comfortable and not too hot, I would suggest the open eared Audio Technica AD700/AD700X, or if you need some sound isolation (or just don't want to give up too much bass) the closed (but with aluminum cups, which help transfer heat away, unlike the more typical plastic/wood which retail heat) A900X. You pretty much won't get better gaming audio or comfort than the ATH line, at least not without spending more on headphones than your entire computer. You will need to pick up a separate mic though.

You could also consider the ATH-ADG1 and ATH-AG1, which are basically gaming marketed versions of the A700X/AD700X with built in mics. Very sexy, but availability is scarce in many regions, and as such price is also sometimes rather high.

well i can go for the other headsets like sennheiser, audio technica etc etc. since im planning to buy the modmic soon when i find a decent headphones.
problem is, theres not much to choose from in my country. those ATH-ADG1 is not really available here.. i think the ATH Pro 500 is available though, but im not really sure if its worth it.

so right now, my choices are very limited to sennheiser products.

If you want closed, check on the ATH-AG1 and ATH-A900X pricing in your region. I know they are going to be more expensive, but you might be able to afford them. I'd highly suggest them over the Sennheiser options if gaming audio and comfort are your priorities.

If you are sticking with Senn, or just don't have the budget for the Audio Technicas at the moment, you may want to consider the HD 518, or even the PC350 (basically the same as the G4ME ZERO without "gamer" written on it quite as many times, and usually cheaper).

EDIT: just saw you second post. the Pro 500 is a nice headphone, but no good for gaming, or comfort for that matter. Strictly for music and portability. Good for DJs or just tossing into your bag to use while on public transit, etc.

well yeah i can afford ATH but sadly, there is very few choices in that brand.
the brand with many choices is only Senn, and sadly, even PC350 is not available here yet. if it is, i think it would be a good buy.

HD 518? is it closed? ill check it out in the website... Edit: (actually it is available here,. but i think it is open back)

right now, im just looking at the HD 280 pro or the 380 pro. then ill be using my sound card, asus xonar essence st. then maybe buy a mod mic when they release the 4.0.

do you know if it will output 7.1? i mean, i need my sound to be directional, and i haven't tested any headphones yet in my soundcard.
