A little Help with overclocking my 6990m

Thread Starter
Hello, So my plan was to overclock my 6990m for a little extra boost in games. And i noticed that CCC only allows me to go to 740 which is just sad its like 3% or 4% overclock. And so i tried trixx but i came across a problem with it. It is forcing my voltage to stay in high performance even when the clocks are in their low performance mode. And i made sure the opition for constant voltage was off. So im at a loss i have no clue why its staying at 1.1v even when i hit the reset on trixx it keeps the voltage at 1.1v when on the desktop. The only way i can get it to act normally is if i reset my computer. Any help would be appreciated. And on a side note any good ways to test to make sure my oc is not artifacting??

While I can't say to much about the voltage problem. I advise against overclocking a mobile graphics card.

Mostly because you run a very high risk of overheating. There is no cooling on these things. Just 1 heatpipe....thats it.

Mobile cards are not meant for overclocking at all. They make them to stay cool(ish) at stock, and thats where they stop. There's hardly anything keeping that gpu cool as it is let alone if you try to OC it.
