New parts for old comp, need help

Hey everyone, I had a comp running a few years ago that crapped out shortly after I let my gf have it. Long story short, I never looked into exactly what the problem was but I assumed it was the video cards, since nothing would come on the display when it turned on.

I just got a 260x and a couple ssds to raid for a 2nd desktop that I want to run Linux on. So I hook everything up, and still nothing will come on the monitor, brand new hard drives, brand new video card, I even took out 2 sticks of RAM and left 1 stick in there, still nothing.

The mobo is an evga x58 sli, and basically what was happening was I was getting the following codes when I'd boot up.

Before I took the ram out - 25, 26, 2d (beep) and then it would settle on 7F.

Now it just goes to code 68 and shuts off and goes into a boot loop.

Think its the motherboard? I have an extra power supply around here somewhere I think, would it be worth it to swap those out? I just doubt its the PS and really don't want to get another motherboard. =\

25 - Shadow VBIOS
26 - Clock Gen
2D - Video Memory Test
7F - Post Error Check
68 - Reserved

Have you verified that every component connected to the current X58 SLI board is in working order? Check to see if they all work correctly before considering it's the motherboard.

Use this manual and go to page 66 for boot codes:

The manual will give you the boot codes to troubleshoot the problem.

I haven't, but everything is new except the memory and processor and power supply.

Actually the code that is up when it keeps rebooting is 69 - "Init Cache Controller".
