LF monitor upgrade (Eizo fs2333 vs EV2336)

Thread Starter
hello,
I am looking for 23inches IPS monitor for mainly gaming(FPS,RPG) at 1080p with my GTX 660 OC card.
I am using cheap AOC monitor (USD $100 TN penal )

After some research, i saw Eizo Fs2333 and Ev2336 have the same price here (both HKD$3xxx, $375 USD)
Fs2333 have 3ms reaction time and Ev2336 have 6ms. it is a big difference?
I Prefer more coulurful Image.. which one is better?
But 1 thing, they both released 1 year ago.. is it too old for a monitor?

Or i should get other brand for cheaper price? or for 16:10?

Thank You.

2333 - gaming monitor with reduced input lag so it better for gaming
2336 - office monitor
Both monitors have IPS panels so color space will be similar.

They both use the same light matte or semi-glossy coating, have similar (excellent) color presets but the EV2336 has less overshoot ghosting and similar measured pixel response times (manufacturer specs are useless), does not use LED PWM Dimming (read about the side effects) unless the brightness is set below 20% and has a superior height adjustable stand.

Thx for reply.. but i am not quite understandingabout this :S too much technical detail

so.. sound like EV2336 is better?
also i had googled: Ev2336 is 10Lut bit and fs2333 is 6bit+something. is it a big difference?

Any other brand are good?
Asus VG248QE? for the same price (with 144hz) but TN penel... = worse color?

The EV2336 is better for gaming and your eyes. Bit depth doesn't matter, both use 6 bit+FRC panels. The VG248QE has abysmal colors by comparison and it is only worth buying if you get the version with G-Sync (Google it) which isn't out yet. The EV2336 is better than all of the affordable 16:10 monitors as well.

Thx for reply.
I got answer about the monitor. how about the output? Ev2336 dont have HDMI slot.
If i connect my PC with Dual Link DVI and other thing like PS4 with HDMI to Displayport cable.

Will the HDMI > Displayport cable affect image quality?

A dvi-hdmi cable or adapter will work, not sure about DP to HDMI. In theory there is no picture quality difference between HDMI/DVI/DP but some monitors have trouble with Nvidia gpu's (Nvidias fault), you can read about the issues here. I asked EV2336 owners about using a DP-HDMI cable for consoles here.
