CoD? LOL! My 2600k is only @4.5ghz and I get an avg of 120fps on BF4 w/Ultra settings @1080p. And I have one, ONE, Giga 780ti Windforce. I think you missed something...

And wasted a LOT of money in the process. +1 for throwing HW at a SW problem. Its going to be a bit before Intel has something that can actually compete with their 2600k and 2700k.

it wasn't a software problem I reinstalled windows many times when I had my 2600k it could of been my motherboard or a cooling problem because when I took the 2600k out of the motherboard so I can sell it there was no thermal paste on it just residue

That'll do it. But didn't you monitor temps? That was your CPU throttling because of high temps.

Best advice, whether you're Overclocking or not, monitor your temps, always.
