Weird issue

Thread Starter
Hey,

Been annoying me for a while, but never got round to asking (old spare). I have a Corsair Force 120Gb which has suffered some rough times in the last few years but I would like to know if it's a lost cause before getting a replacement.

The thing is it works fine, 100% without a problem when i use it in my 650D hot swap drive, but is never registered from any normal SATA configuration. I have tried updating firmware/formatting/praying, but still nothing. My samsumg 840 pro seems to run fine in any config so i'd assume it's neither the cabling nor the motherboard. My theory was that since the hot swap drive is simply a more robust connector that it's working through it, i.e. the ssd's connector is just getting on (could this be fixed/worth messing around with?)

Any thoughts? ideas? similar experience?

Cheers,
/Severe
