Well also i had bad experiance with gigabyte in many ways.Trying to avoid that company even owning one of theyr android phones atm.
And if i can get 4,5ghz on my i7 3820 I would be more than happy.
Back then i took asus x79 deluxe cuz i had money and wanted to get best of the best back then.Only extra feature wich i loved was only built in wifi and bluetooth. But even x79 deluxe loved to overvoltage my cpu even at stock speeds.
Also buying cheaper one but good one means to buy used one but waranty is must need since i have bad luck keeping motherboards alive somehow.MSI attracted with 5 year waranty makes me feel safe.Asus RMA from other side is amazinh even after almost 2 year of usage gave my money back when it broke. Getting back 340euros from wich i would want not spend over 240euro for motherboard cuz atm im without job since moved to Germany and dont know the langue having hard time atm so extra cash in pocket would be realy nice to keep.
Whats the diference between MSI X79A-GD45 Plus and non Plus version cuz there is like 80euro diference between bouth.
For years have used Asus without any problems where i would end up empty handed but realy considering to give a shot to MSI boards.
My primary needs i need from motherboard
*OC in medium levels like getting my i7 3820 at stable 3,4-3,5ghz in 24/7 usage.
*2 way SLI support ( x16x16 ) if possible
*Easy bios managment for overclocking
* Wifi and bluetooth but if there is none then can live without it also.
What about Asus asus p9x79 basic one or MSI X79A-
GD45 8D ? The used ones does not even reach 150euro limit.
