I'm so sick of having my own arguments reworded and spat back at me on these boards by people who think they're 'on to something'.
That's the point. What do you expect from a story? I've read so much as a child, I got into story theory. How many true stories can you do? What are the basics? They have branched off but honestly, what is left? It's a game, so play it as such. You aren't reading a novel, watching a mini series, or a full blown show with background. It's ment to be compressed, and quickly. Do you want to go through shooting crapily, learning how to handle a pistol or a rifle. To kill with a knife. Do you know on hand to hand, if you are fighting a person armed with a pistol that you want to grab the gun and actually pull it across. Yeah, that's right, you pull the gun across you and use your other hand on the inner arm. Why? Because that's how our grip works, we are weaker towards gripping a weapon if the object is pulled across our body.
Example, if you are right handed I want to use my right arm to hit your inner arm, towards the wrist and then pull the gun with my left across my body. This forces you to release your grip, disarming 101. Do you want to do that? Or how to handle recoil, you want to go through all that? No, it's an FPS where skipping that and going right into gun fights is the big thing. Because you shouldn't care about that, if you do play an RPG. It's an FPS with RPG elements. So yeah, you are just nit picking bull.
