I think GTA with more perks and fun. I'm in the same boat, waiting for tangible information. Still expect to buy this as the current info goes but am holding back. I consider myself to be a smart buyer, every game in my library is good, at least too me. =P

I just hope this will have better optimization than AC black flag. Great game, but performance issues were bothersome. Still had a blast though. This game will probably exceed my expectations too.

This is what gets me, no so much the pre-ordering but the pricing of these so-called "Next-gen" games. PC has been doing graphics like this for, what, 8 - 10 years? Suddenly with the new gen of consoles we're seeing a £20 price-hike in games. Considering some of us are still dealing with money problems in this day and age I think it's outragous to be asking the better part of a hundered pound for a game. I thought the 20 - 30 price range was fine, 40 at the most for a new title but that was an uncomfortable purchase for me. £64 for some of the newest games that have 6 - 10 hours of gameplay, it's getting to the point that the games aren't worth the price-point.

Looking at this, where we're still complaining about the last-gen holding it back. £50 for the PS4/XBO standard version. Granted it's £30 for the PC but I'm not seeing where this extra money is comming from for the Console versions, even the PS3/360 is £43. Seems like daylight robbery for the money you're paying for these games.

I think the reason is licensing for the consoles, I recall reading that Microsoft and Sony make a small sum off of the games which are sold, on PC you don't really have that but I dont exactly understand why the next generation system variants cost even more, of course I could be completely wrong about who gets small sum off of the games but I do believe licensing is one major part of it.

Some of the digital games are even worse, I'm seeing a £40 base price for most of the games on the PSN store and some of these titles have been out for a good while, I think the latest Ninja Gaiden game or spinoff I saw for £49.99 on PSN and Steam for some odd reason, most of these games could be picked up in the store for a fair bit cheaper, shouldn't the retail game cost more since they're distributing a physical item? Case, disc and the manuals which you're lucky to have 2 pages of content in these days.

Explosions look a bit like they're bitmapped at times. Other than that it looks good for a console.

What I know is (IMO) we are getting less quality in all categories (innovation, content, originality, graphics improvement, truly novel features, story, gameplay) than we used to with so called "AAA" games, for more money, plus the added effort to squeeze more out of us with withheld content sold as DLC.

This is why I literally do not buy games from large publishers now ... both on principle, but also because I simply don't find games I'm that interested in. Now I only play Arma III while awaiting some of the crowd-funding titles. I remember once when I had no difficulty finding great PC games to play ... 2007 and prior we had great games from Valve, DICE, Crytek, and many other publishers. Today, none of those publishers make anything I would like to purchase. I hope crowd-funding can do something to help counteract the trends in game production.

When I was at E3 last year, the PS4 version they were demoing in a closed off viewing area was pretty good actually. I'm pretty sure when it comes out it'll look great. It definitely won't look as bad as so many people here will swear by.

I'm just glad the price of these games hasn't gone up as much as the price of almost everything else in life. Costs of living adjustments should mean these games should cost way more than they did 10 years ago. Gaming is still a pretty cheap hobby. Even at $60, that's like what 1-2 hours of work for over 10 hours of enjoyment?

Going to go off on a bit of a rant here.......

Console and store exclusive content is complete crap, and I refuse to support games that do this. Getting content in a video game because you play it on a particular platform is simply wrong, and splits your player-base! When this first started happening I was a bit "Meh" about it, but it has gotten to the point I am flatly against it.

Second; while that video looked a little better, there are still terrible textures to be seen in mass. The part where he is crouching behind the 2x4s, they were flat and looked pasted into the game.

/rant

I just hope that this is a step in the right direction in terms of visuals, and that Ubisoft has listened to the gamers and is going to step up their game. If that is the case then I hold out more hope for Massive's release of The Division.

...but it won't look as good as it originally did? That's what most people are concerned about including me and it's a legitimate concern until the actual game gets released because it is tough to rely on these prerelease demos when so much changes along the way. Not to mention, they show you what they want you to see. Whether that be an accurate portrayal of the game is a mystery.
