Perhaps if more members would be more helpful on a predominantly desktop forum then we might have a better reputation and have members come here first to inquire opinions on said company.

Thanks, I couldn't agree more! I did a TON of research before I bought my desktop, I waited till Haswell came out and the GTX770 was one of the hottest at an affordable price. (I know there are better but the 770 was/is a good card still) I didn't know "laptop" stuff came out at different times, nobody ever said anything about it and I asked alot of different peopple different stuff and nobody said anything about new mobile GPUs coming out. So it just really bugs me when someone acts like I just went out and randomly ordered a $2500 laptop.

Perhaps you are angry for good reason, and aren't expressing yourself properly. To me you are angry at the company for making a purchase. In all reality it isn't their fault you bought it. They are under an NDA about the cards, and if they lowered their price it would be a hint that the new cards were coming. Someone has to lose on this exchange, and even if they let you return it for 15% restocking, they still lose. Razer doesn't sell open box laptops, and even if they did no one would buy an open box laptop for what it was selling for before the announcement.

Customer service is one thing, but you are expecting free money from a company that isn't nearly as large as say a Dell.

Well, To be fair, my current search for a laptop for me, this forum has been the most helpful, LTT Forum told me off because I didnt want a Razer Blade. Tek Syndicate Forums didnt have much activity on my thread I made there and the Notebook Review forum was also a inactive thread even though I was bumping it. I am happy I have at least one forum to go to for help and not just the advice of my friends

Hmm, how about Sager, MSI laptops maybe Aorus X7?
They are pretty good from what I hear.

What sort of "gaming" laptop are you looking forward beside gaming itself after you return your Razer Blade Pro?
Do you want your laptop to be portability or sitting on your desk?
What type of tasks are you will be doing beside gaming I assume?
If gaming, what type of games, so we can get an idea?

I mean, I was thinking if we could get more infos. We might be able to help you even more on a laptop.

Well having a quick scan through here I don't see any recommendations for the MSI or ASUS ranges?
Now I know there are a couple of people who have had issues, just as there are people who have had issues with Alienware, Lenovo et al....

My youngest son has had a Medion Erazer (based on the MSI build) with a Geforce 460m in it for some years, this has out-lasted all his previous laptops, including the solid Clevo machine he had a few years back.
We have had to repair the power connector, because being a student and not so sober, the machine has taken its fair share of knocks, dropped left lying switched on at odd angles in a couch.
The build quality of the MSI is fantastic, and I know he will be upgrading to a similar one when he needs to.

The wife uses an ASUS (non gaming) machine and enjoys very stable cool and quiet operation, ASUS were not afraid to build an Alloy chassis into a budget machine, so her core i5 is well housed.

My laptop is a 12"Samsung Q210 bought in 2009, and it is still going strong despite being used as a DJ laptop in inhospitable environments, and a tech support machine for 2 years dragged around to customer sites, so Sammy's build quality gets a thumbs up from me, not sure about their gaming range though.

Good luck with your choices, I do love the look of the Razer Blade, but Min's attitude lately has put me right off his company.
in fact my only surviving Razer component is an old Salmosa mouse which works very well, the Lycosa keyboard was pants.

Yeah, their handing of the new models has turned me off of them as well. Maybe it would change if I had issues with the lasptop and they actually came through with great support, but I've already caught their support in one lie. So I'm hoping for no issues. I actually looked at an Asus before buying in person, while the inside may be good, I just wasn't too happy with the outside being plastic, that was my only real complaint against Asus, and I'll carry mine constantly. Wish I would've got the GS70 now, but by the time I take a $400 loss on the Razer, I might as well keep it and hope for the best. And the way your Samsung lasted is what I need and why I was looking into aluminum builds. I work on the railroad and need a gaming laptop to keep me entertained at the hotels. So I'm wanting something that can take a beating for 2 years (I actually take care of my laptops, just being constantly carried does take it's toll on a laptop, no matter how gentle you are with it).

Well best of luck, when it does come to buying a new one, the MSI out of the three I mentioned has taken the biggest battering and is still going strong, which is amazing for an Nvidia 460M bake me a cake hot chip smile.gif
