Newbie AMD Guy here..

Thread Starter
So I got a bug to spend some money and make another computer I don't need. I have never had an AMD and am toying with the idea of building a mITX with the Node 304 case. Pretty much as ignorant as you can get about the product line except Kaveri has a bunch of hype of Bulldozer 'was a flop' whatever that means.

The rig I am going to part/out to family is a 2700k i7; is there a AMD option that will outperform that today? Budget is whatever I need to have fun building a new computer!

Intel is a power house but the AMD FX-8350 Black Edition Vishera 4.0GHz (4.2GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W 8-Core Desktop Processor FD8350FRHKBOX comes close.

amd really has nothing offer in itx....except Kaveri. i would say these fall under entry level gaming rig, but great for all round pc. you can pick up an itx board from gigabyte or asrocks.
