Thank goodness for OT: Its paying for the slow trickle of new parts for my next project: first up, an S8 - my first caselabs - then the WC gear, and once all that is gathered, I'll dump the big wad for all the rest at the same go. By that time, the 6gb Classy/KPE should be available. smile.gif

Effectively you are probably right but if I spend $2k on video cards you can bet I want to be able to max out every setting, regardless of whether or not I actually need to...

Thread cleaned.

Gentlemen, I can see how a customer would be upset about the release of this card after there were originally no plans to make a 6 gb version.

But plans change. It is fair to express displeasure in this but not to the point where the thread goes off the rails because of it.

Please stay closer to the topic.

Thanks.

True but i much rather sacrifice AA then be force to tun 3 or 4 card really. Adds too much problems for that you get.

Did you mean bias? Sorry but you couldn't be more wrong. Your post which I quoted below is still visible earlier in this thread.

Sorry Jacob. but true. Im so gone from EVGA. was great since 2005 till 2010. Motherboard's and gpu.

Now your screwing day one buyer's.. for gtx 780ti sli would love 3 780s 6gbs.

I think that pretty much sums up what you think of EVGA's decision and it's visible to everyone here. No need to take over the thread bashing EVGA.

This probably has been answered already, but they going w/ double capacity ram modules or sticking more on the pcb? EVGA did the 580 nicely with 3gb and still retaining the reference design (double capacity modules).

Double capacity, so the waterblocks are all still compatible.
