I get that, but Denver doesn't make sense for that kind of replacement.

True, though he could mean the Maxwell refresh which is the time when Denver to be featured.

There is one thing really frustrating about the gpu market and it's incremental releases like this. Day 1 they release a cut die, 3 months after cut die with custom coolers/pbc, 3 months after that full die stock, 3 months after that they release custom coolers, another 3 months down the line they release high Vram variance but hey, wait up we are close to next architecture with actual performance boost.

You are always stuck waiting. Frustrating, that's what it is. I'm glad EVGA got their step up program but even then it is little and there is more to be desired here. I know making custom pcb takes time but there was no excuses that a year ago there where no 6gbs 780's even at a premium for those who want 3-4 gpus and not be bottle necked after spending 2-3 grand on gpus.

Crysis 3 Sucked and didn't look that great IMO!

How about Metro LL maxed at these high res now that should push some VRAM.

It's not about looks specifically.
Crysis 3 uses a lot if VRAM. It actually does look good though, so not sure where that egg came from.

The environments are very basic esp towards the end of the game.

It's not even a comparsion to Beauty of LL and effects but this thread is not about that. Its just funny to see all the hype still over Crysis 3 when it def was not all that.

hype is there cause cryengine will be used in star citizen and Kingdom Come: Deliverance
so naturally people still mention it

now iguess i should just stick to my windforce 780 and double down for sli as @1440p that is about all i would need even for a 1440p OR

best

Hate to ask... But Jacob(if possible to answer)... Do you think the KPE6gb would be available before the 90 day mark of the release of it perhaps?.. Think it was like 1/24/14 or so. Would be great to know cause I'd love to step up but yea, doubting it would be in the next 30 days or so...
