[EVGA] Step-up your GTX 780 to 6GB Update: 6GB GTX 780 Ti cancelled. - Page 22

I never understood the appeal of this program... You have a 90 day window to "Step up" from your initial purchase date. You need to pay for the shipping and price difference for the new product. Where exactly do the benefits reside in this program?

Say you bought a 780 for $650 before the price cuts and then the 780Ti was released a month later for $50 more. This is a best case situation of course but worst case is that you don't lose out on having to sell the existing card second hand.

Wow how many more versions of GK110 can there be lol

Oh, I'd love to see some yacoin mining results on these...I'm sure with the latest updates I can push it well over 8kh/s per card lol

So two months into your GPU purchase, you realize you should have went with a stronger card. You can either sell your used card for less money or sent it back to EVGA and get a full credit for your purchase price toward another card.

Who else in the industry offers this? In a world where greed is king, EVGA is giving you your full money back and then puts the old card into B-stock sales taking a loss to keep the customer happy.

In my case, I traded in my 780 at equal to a 780 Ti. So I basically paid shipping to upgrade. Selling the card was not an option because of the price drop when the Ti was released.

I'm referring to what ever architecture Denver ends up getting stuck on. I'm leaning towards it not hitting the consumer market until Volta.

Best post ever. It seems they milk it until they must go 20nm Maxwell.

Sometimes I think people should boycott all 22 and 28nm products. That would make them rush to use the fabs we already know are, or are approaching, full and high performance capacity.

Boycott 28,22,20, push 16nm FinFet. I WANT Tesla Processing unit.

I'm finding it harder & harder to believe that a 28nm Maxwell run is going to happen. I just want to see Denver in action, it will be the biggest breakthrough in GPU technology since the Voodoo.

The biggest gpu breakthrough was Fermi, a graphical processing unit AND a grill? Genius nvidia, well played.
