Okay. That wasn't the primary design consideration of the game. Multiplayer was and has always been the primary design focus of the battlefield games, period, dating all the way back to BF1942. This is also very true of Titan Fall. Campaign was an afterthought with the meat and potatoes of the game going all in on the multiplayer aspect.
That said, if you liked SP, that's cool. Not everyone has same opinions on gaming experiences, obviously. What one person likes another hates. It's fine. That said, you're in an extreme minority if you bought BF games for SP only. Or even you play both SP and MP, most players really disliked the campaign including myself; it certainly is not a class leading game design compared to some other FPS games like Metro: LL or what have you. If you want a single player FPS, BF3 and BF4 were poor games in comparison to the best SP FPS games you can buy. The same is true of Titan Fall, the game we were mostly talking about. The campaign really is, truly, a joke. To put that into perspective, it is far less effort than BF4's SP campaign by a country mile. The devs tacked it on at the last minute and it shows. It's a waste of time particularly in Titan fall.
Like I said though. Gaming is subjective. Even if you're in a minority, if you enjoyed the SP that's cool. That's why DICE added it in there, because some folks would appreciate it.Edited by xoleras - 3/25/14 at 7:50pm
