[EVGA] Step-up your GTX 780 to 6GB Update: 6GB GTX 780 Ti cancelled. - Page 40

Dude..... The developers have made NO SECRET that MP is the primary design intent. You can simply look at the game itself and see where the development time was allocated. Oh and we can just ignore all of the DLC being 100% multiplayer only. And premium. Multiplayer oriented. Does that mean you can't enjoy SP? No. Have at it.

With that said, I don't really care if someone likes SP in BF3 or BF4, I thought I made that clear. I don't know why this offends you. If you like the SP good on you. Dont' care, no eff's given. Apparently that's why DICE added it, because a few dudes would appreciate it. And you did. That's cool with me. Gaming experience. Subjective.

I'll also echo your sentiment that i'm not trying to nerd rage or anything. I'm not trying to push my opinion on what is better either. Some people just like SP. Some people don't like listening to idiots on teamspeak. That's fine with me. But is a primarily MP focused game. And just to be clear: we were talking about Titan Fall as the primary subject. Just keep that in mind, the campaign in Titan Fall literally feels like it was done in a week. I'm not kidding. It truly is a waste of time , it isn't even comparable to BF4's campaign which I felt was weak compared to good SP FPS games. And I know you disagree about the SP aspect. The point i'm getting across here, is the campaign in Titan Fall really does truly suck. Period. But the MP gameplay is a freakin' blast. I love Titan Fall, it's an awesome game. Definitely going to be in my top 10 list for 2014 I think.

It has MP campaign, which is so shoddy it is pathetic. It is 9 missions, played twice, from both sides, so a total of 18 missions. If you are lored into losing, you lose, even if you win... type of thing.

It does have a campaign. I'm trying to distinguish between SP and campaign here, but it's hard to. It almost feels like semantic differences. BF4's campaign was single player. So was BF3. Titan Fall has a hybrid sort of MP based campaign that is meant to introduce you to the game and game mechanics. It is similar to how Brink did it.

Anyway, Titan Fall's campaign: The purpose is essentially the same as SP: to introduce game mechanics slowly over time and all that sort of thing. Anyway, Titan fall has a campaign similar to what Brink had, if you played Brink at all. It is online, but it sort of a way to introduce you to game mechanics and such. ANYWAY. The campaign. It sucks. It's a waste of time. Unfortunately, some of the unlocks require trudging through the campaign missions, which is a tragedy really. Total Biscuit has a good overview of the Titan Fall campaign, if you're interested in viewing it. Anyway the point remains. The "campaign" in Titan Fall is an utter waste of time. It was tacked on at the last minute, and it shows.

So now that this thread is headed into stupid and off-topic territory, which i'm guilty of contributing to of course, so i'll end with this. Titan Fall is an awesome game. I love it despite the campaign being trash. That's my subjective opinion, and apparently a lot of people agree that it's a blast in multiplayer game modes. I forsee it being in my top ten at the end of 2014, but we'll see. Going on - I think BF3's campaign sucks. As does BF4. Certainly not a match for other SP oriented games like Metro : LL, or the excellent Crysis 1 and Crysis : WH. That's subjective though. Nobody views gaming experiences in similar ways. If you hate multiplayer, cool. If you love campaigns, cool. If you're one of the 3 people who enjoyed BF4 for single player, cool! Subjective. I like MP games. I like competetive sort of gaming experiences, while chatting with friends on teamspeak. Not everyone rolls the same way as I do though. Again, subjective. What isn't subjective is the MP focus of all the BF games and Titan Fall. IMO. That's not to say you can't enjoy the campaign. It's fine. Whatever. Who the hell cares. I'm not saying my preferred gaming method is the best, or that yours is the best. Live and let live bro. wink.gif

Perhaps at some point we'll talk about 6GB cards, I dunno though!

I for one am kind of annoyed by this. When we were asking EVGA here on this forum about 6gb 780's/780ti's back in 2013 we were told, flat out, that no, it would never happen -- it was an impossibility. Now here we are 3-4months later and we have 6gb versions... and of course my 2 780Ti's were purchased on day-one back in November so I don't qualify for this step-up program. rolleyes.gifmad.gif

EVGA just verified this information again recently stating that 6gb vram was limited to the titan name sake... Jacob did drop a hint that it might change soon though.

Nvidia has been great with playing these games this time around.

40 pages of people talking about vram, and no one mentioned 3D or oculus. Plus all the PC ports in the near future are going to use a lot more vram cause of xbone and ps4. also 4k.
2gb vram cards can't max titanfall @60fps minimum. Cards need more vram.

I personally can't stand anything below 80fps @ 120hz when it comes to shooters. Anything slower then that and the screen is just a blur when you move the mouse, i don't know how i played shooters on panels before 120hz. I won't move to 4k until it gets 120hz or 120gysnc.

EVGA isn't the problem, NVIDIA is, and I feel bad to say, that if EVGA gets burned because of NVidia stupidity, then I am sorry, but I really wish people wouldn't buy ANOTHER revamp, and feeding NVIDIA this bulls hit money they don't deserve at all.. I mean, 3k for the "titan z" is flat out stupid! They are going to rape people with these as well, causing a lose of one from people that are stupid enough to buy into the hype.
