PC Build Help/Recommendations - Page 2

DaChosenOne,

First of all, back it down. I was only asking for some help with some PC hardware. I do apologize for any misspelled words, and yes I did mean Arma3. As far as a RAID is concerned, you could of just said; don't do it, or, not worth the money, or, not needed if using an SSD.

As far as the monitor goes, you could have looked at my system specs and saw what monitor I was writing about. Also, I believe I was asking if there were any better and cheaper solutions out there. I know some people are using inexpensive TVs as monitors and that there are higher resolution monitors than what my current monitor produces.

And as for my gaming experience, I've been gaming for over 4 decades, so don't come at me with "It doesn't even sound like your a gamer ".

I didn't think it was necessary for me to list my entire gaming collection. I figured I would just limit my list to the games and programs I use most often.

So, no need to troll. I didn't mean to upset you in any way and I hope you can accept my deepest apologies.

It is your inability to explain yourself clearly that brought on my response. If you are a gamer then you should have said so from the get go. You don't need to recite every single game in your collection for us. All you had to say was something to the effect of:
"I have several games in my collection but the two that I am playing currently are Arma 3 and The Division". Bingo. Simple over & done.

When I looked at your rig, I saw the Samsung monitor but I missed the Acer, so my apologies for missing that. Again, if you had clearly expressed yourself on WHY you wanted to upgrade the monitor, maybe you would have gotten more helpful replies on alternate suggestions. If you are a so called "gamer" with 40 years experience then you would know by now that such an idea as using a cheap TV as your computer monitor is a terrible idea. Why? Do you know anything about typical response times and input lag on a typical "cheap" TV? If not, you might want to research that option before you buy. And just because you have 40 years experience gaming doesn't make you a "gamer". I said in my previous post you were probably a casual gamer and now I see my first assessment was spot on.

And if I had said something so simple as "don't do it" without any kind of explanation, most people by curiosity would want to know why the poster is making such a comment. I gave you a reason. Actually 2. If you don't like it - you don't have to take the advice.

good point

ha! Dachosenone brings some good points, but i agree with mbarr99 take it done a notch. When i sent him the first link i had 3 monitors for him because that's what he asked for. I didn't put raid in because yes it is a little pointless but also it wouldn't fit with his budget well. Mbarr99 as for your link, i think you made some good adjustments, i would say the only thing to choose/ change is the case and the graphics card. This is because depending on what your max budget could go to, you could pick a better/ go sli with this rig since you are going to have 4 monitors.
