First build

Hi guys
I'm trying to put together a small computer for video editing, 3d rendering and perhaps some BF4 gaming.
What do you think about these components? Will it be possible to mount them and will they cooperate fairly well?

Silverstone Sugo SG08B
Asus Z87I-PRO - S1150 mITX
Intel i7-4770K
Noctua NH-C12P SE14 (I guess the Noctua fan won't fit)
EVGA GeForce GTX 780 SC ACX 3GB
http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f3-2133c10d-16gxm
2 SanDisk Extreme II 120 GB raid 0
Win 8.1

Thanks

i would not recommend doing raid0 on 2 small SSD. you'll get much more out of a single large SSD. raid0 doesn't benefit SSD like it does it does HDD and raid0 causes more problems then it solves with SSD.

if your not set on that case,a node 304 is more forgiving for coolers and space..

SG08 offers better cooling for the GPU which is really the main concern for SFF anyway smile.gif a NH-C12 is a beefy enough cooler that it may not even need a fan since that big AP181 is blowing directly down on the cooler. just need to have that AP181 controlled by the CPU temp and he should be fine. you aren't going to fine better airflow then a SG08 at that size smile.gif

it was my mistake, i was thinking the 05.

when i used the cp12 in my mode the fans was to tight also. i used this fan instead...
http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=36_316_850&products_id=36980

its thin,so it fits in tight places.

sorry for the misread biggrin.gif

Thanks for sorting out potential issues about the case guys smile.gif
I found the build that I'm trying to copy:
http://www.overclock.net/t/1306084/max15lv1-air-cooled-sg08-2500k-690gtx
I'll change the memory to one with a lower profile, it looks tight in there smile.gif

The Crucial Ballistix RAM series comes in a VLP (very low profile) model.

Yes they look nice and low.
They got the 16GB G.SKILL Ares DDR3-1866 at a good price so I'm getting those since they are the same as in the "model build".

New shopping list:
Silverstone Sugo SG08B
Asus Z87I-PRO - S1150 mITX
Intel i7-4770K
Noctua NH-C12P SE14
EVGA GeForce GTX 780 SC ACX 3GB
16GB G.SKILL Ares DDR3-1866
256 GB Samsung 840 Pro
Win 8.1

It seems like there's only support for rdp host in Win 8.1 Pro so maybe I'll buy the Pro version.
