Getting my head back into the game!

Hello everyone, it's been a while.

Last week I decided to upgrade my old rig to something a little more powerful. Granted I only upgraded my mobo, CPU and RAM, but it is a start. Upon making these upgrades I decided to get back into my modding and OCing again.

Just a little recap on why I've been absent. I was in a relationship for nearly two years of which I was forced out of many of the things I loved without knowing. Things went down the pan last September and recovering from depression in which I found myself while I was with her, I've decided to get back to my old self so naturally I opened up my PC and cleaned it all out and everything, I really enjoyed myself and decided to do what I was going to before she stopped me, and that was buying a new rig. At least one thing I did to my PC while I was with her was paint the interior black, which was something I'm very happy about doing.

But now I'm back, and I plan to shake it down.

I've still got my old Jeantech Aqua case and it it severely limiting my system. There is no space for cable management, it's cramped, weighs a tonne and is simply falling apart. I've tried my best for cable management, as you can see below.

(Yes I am aware that the front panel is hanging off, I didn't noticed until I uploaded the image, haha)

I'm much happier without her and I'm getting out of this depression much faster thanks to my comeback to case modding and overclocking (which I will be doing once I have my new case!)

Glad to be back, and I hope you're all well.

Guess it's time to invest into a 240GB - 256GB SSD as a boot drive.
Maybe a AMD 7870 2GB graphics card.

I was actually looking into an SSD and definitely looking into getting a new GPU, my current GPU let's the whole system down, along with the HDD. An SSD is definitely something I am looking into, but a GPU and case is more important to me.

Yeah, relationships are tough when you're unhappy. She ruined two long-term friendships to the point where I don't think I'll be able to rekindle them again, things are looking up now though.

It's good to be back!

Damn right, and thanks, I'm glad I am too, as Mrs. Boucher says "That woman is the devil!" HAHA

Going to be working on building up my gaming rig, and I'm also in the works for building a small home server. wink.gif
