Say a saltine American wanted to cool his 4770k in the following setup I plan on doing with a Pelt on the cpu only ... yeah? Neah?

Suggestions of pelt? I don't wonna worry about condensation and my concerns are not to be low ambient.

My PS is a 1050 but I have a 600 or 700 I could series if needed. jerry.gif (I dk Jerry so the pop-corn eating is the meaning)

I'm thiking 580mm of rad space is enough cooling area before it gets back to the 290's no?

A single 62mm Qmax=400W TEC works well on 4770K when powered by 12V. You can expect 5-10 degrees below water temperature on the TEC cold side at full load. To buy TEC in US you can check http://customthermoelectric.com/.

To avoid condensation a controller is a must have because when CPU is idle it's so easy to go to -10C.

BTW to estimate how much rad is needed one should consider the total heat in the loop, not the rad "before" GPU or CPU. The loop temperature is always within 1-2C anywhere. So with two 290s in the same loop, it's better to add more rad smile.gif

A controller like a fan controller with the TEC attached?

Hum .... so are you saying I need more than I have now or perhaps just more surface (thicker) units?

You cannot run a TEC from a fan controller, they pull way too much power. You will need a digital PWM controller, preferably one that can monitor and adjust for humidity on the fly. Fox and Krow are both working on different versions of one, and if you are lucky you can find an Arqtik one for sale used.

Also, your design will need to be changed for two main reasons. Not only will an AIO cooler not work to cool a TEC due to both its small size and performance (need to fully cover 62x62mm), you also cannot run separate spec pumps (if the H100 and Seidon are different specs) in the same loop without disassembling the weaker one and removing their pump impellers. If not, it will just cause all sorts of turbulence, restriction, and cavitation from a powerful pump trying to push water into a weaker one.

I plan on running the 3 Seidon pumps.

Thanks .... for the Arqtik heads up ... I'll keep my eye open. thumb.gif
