Debating getting an Xbox One for Birthday - Page 2

When i clicked gaming PC i was expecting like a core 2 duo - you have a 4670k and a 760, why would you want one of those consoles?

Just grab some luxuries like mechanical keyboard IMO

Basically its my birthday on wednesday (26/03/2014) and I dont know if to upgrade my pc or get an xbox one and fifa 14 which is the game I want to play
I have bf3/bf4/titanfall for pc so I wont be buying them for xbox one
Just friends at school have fifa and xbox so I wanted to play with them and Im a big football fan, had fifa 12/13 for xbox 360 and played it basically 24/7 was hooked to ultimate team
But is it worth paying out for a new console just for one game

Just need some suggestions really, which route to take or what else should I get for my birthday (Im going to be 15)
I have about £50 to put towards it and whatever my family decide to put in cards and parents so in total I guess my total budget is £300
If I get Xbox one I will probably get a 2nd hand one or opened once because they are like £200/£250 off gumtree (site like ebay but england only) not because im poor but It saves so much more money and they dont have a single scratch so why spend more?

Thanks
Luke

thats your decision

but me personally, i dont think its worth it.
buying a whole new console and paying xbox live just for one game?

As far as privacy, I just left the Kinect disconnected.

I have it setup in my HT and even though I have an HTPC, it is a nice interface to putz around on Netflix and youtube.

I think consoles are bought largely based on the games you plan to play. That being said, I think the Xbox has more media features than the new PS, the old one was great as a makeshift networked media player, but not so sure about the new one.

what do you mean by this? (sorry i dont follow consoles at all anymore)

microsoft has a way to spy on people? and is the kinnect directly connected to the xbone now or something?

The kinect is constantly recording. Example, You pay to watch a movie on it, your friend comes over, when they walk into your room, your kinect will see the extra person and stop playback until you pay for the extra person to watch as well. They claim that while it's off the only word it's listening for is "xbox on" but even if that's the case, it's still listening, and that info goes somewhere.

It's such a problem they are making covers specifically for your kinect lol.

go for it. I've always wondered why most people limit themselves to pc gaming. admittedly I don't like my ps4 as much as I like my PC but there are games you can't play with a PC. *cough* JRPGS *Cough*

And really the JRPG market has moved to handhelds, hence why I originally suggested if they like RPGs to just get a 3DS instead tongue.gif

D: you need to get a new one and play Bravely Default ASAP (It's more of a Final Fantasy than any FF post IX, even has classic FF jobs like Dark Knight and Red Mage)
