IBM Xt keyboard with f1-f12 no work

I have try Ps2->AT adapter and no work. Is modern MB port able to give proper voltage?

I wish to make work this heavy keyboard, even keys are metal. Is there capacitor inside that can go bad?

XT keyboards won't work, it has to be AT or newer. Some keyboards have a XT/AT compatibility switch, see if yours has it. Usually on the bottom somewhere.

SO xt kbd cannot use ps2 converter anymore?
XT keyboards use a different protocol than AT and PS/2 keyboards. You can't just use an AT-to-PS/2 adapter to connect an XT keyboard to a PS/2 port. You can either buy or build a converter (such as Soarer's XT/AT/PS2/Terminal to USB Converter with NKRO) to be able to use your XT keyboard with a modern PC.

Ah so they stopped support of xt protocol on ps2 I am guess a while ago.

I remember older mb would do this but it's been a long long time.

I am building the teensy setup. Thank you.
