Onboard audio Static/Crackling on new MOBO

Thread Starter
I've purchased an ASRock Z75 Pro3 motherboard recent as a replacement for my old MSI P67 C43 (B3), and while it seems to have fixed the problem I was having with that, it introduced a new one of its own. After a while of being on, seemingly randomly the audio will start to have static/crackling in both recording and playback. The temp solution to this problem is rebooting, but it always happens again.

I've tried three different recommended driver versions for this.
-Driver on the CD
-Driver from ASRock's website
-Driver from Realtek's website

After the problem being present with all three of these, I decided to look for alternate solutions not typically recommended. Noticing the audio chipset is the same model ALC892, I went to the website of the old motherboard and downloaded and installed the driver found there. It seems to have fixed the problem for now but I'm not sure if this is a good solution. I may return the motherboard and get a different one.

Information
Problem exists using either the front panel, or the back panel.
Three different audio devices known to be good displayed the problem. (Headset, Speaker, Earbuds)
Different recommended drivers don't help at all.
This problem never even once appeared with the old motherboard.

System Information
OS: XP 32-Bit SP3 (Fresh Install)
CPU: i7-2600K @ Stock
MOBO: ASRock Z75 Pro3 / MSI P67 C43 (B3)
GPU: Intel HD 3000 / 8600 GT / 550 Ti - All tested individually.
Audio: Realtek ALC892 - Same on both
PSU: Thermaltake Smart M850W SP-850M

Questions
Should I return this motherboard? I only have a few days left to do so.
What could be bad about downloading the drivers for my old motherboard? For an entire day, I have not had the crackling audio yet which seems to have solved it.

If you need any more information, just let me know.
I'm either hoping this audio starts with the static crap again soon, so I can return it or that I never hear it again. If I get any problem before the return date, I'm returning it and will be looking for a new one. Right now I can't say which is more likely to happen, so if you'd like to suggest a motherboard feel free.

Assuming it's the same audio chipset, there is nothing wrong with using the drivers from a different motherboard.

In general, I avoid getting motherboard drivers from the motherboard maker entirely. I get the oem drivers from the maker of whatever IC in question. Intel for the chipset, realtek for the audio, etc.
