Thread Starter
Hi All i have a Lenoxo X120e laptop with the following specs: CPU - AMD E240 Disk- corceair force GT 120GB GPU- ATI Redon 6310
and RAM - 2x2=4 GB DDR3 1333

i would like to reach this laptops full potential as far as performance even thoe it has a weak CPU so my next upgrade is to switch the 4GB RAM in to 8GB

MY QUESTION IS: WILL DDR3L performe any better then standart DDR3?

Please help,
Thank you.

No, DDR3L is just low voltage memory (1.35V). The full name is DDR3 Low Voltage. I don't know why it's not "DDR3LV", but maybe because DDR3L looks a little less confusing. Either way, "DDR3L" is just the official name for 1.35V memory now.

You'll also see DDR3U. That's 1.25V memory.
