In all honesty, will electrical tape work? Maybe a little ghetto but there's no way someone will see it with the card installed.
What are other options? Could I paint the shield?
Obviously the tape is the quickest fix, if it gets gooey the adhesive can come off with alcohol when it comes time to change it.
Painting it I would use plastidip like one of the guys suggested.and it does peel off. It would be a bit more involved, like masking the pcb, but it would look cool as you can change the color of the shield whenever you want.
But honestly tape is sufficient, just put tape where you think it'll contact, if it is a painted surface already I would say not to cause it has the potential to take paint off, if it is anodized then go for it.
