If you like to tweak settings, then yes it is worth it. if you just want it to be easy, no, stay with p8z77.

How much more performance would I get from crossfiring this card too? Someone told me it was pointless and they bashed on it and said I should have just gotten one that was better. At the time I only had so much to spend. Thanks for the help though! Sorry so many questions!

Thanks, so you can get more out of the Maximus performance wise or you're just saying personal settings and things like that? I've gotten mixed opinions on it. I'm on a budget but you can get the Maximus on eBay for cheap OEM.* It's like 70 bucks lol.

well withthe same amount of time involved, the p8z77 will probably match the maximus.

However, if you go beyond what settings are available for the p8z77 you simply run out of things to really help you tweak out a good above average OC.

So pretty much you will get more OC performance out of the Maximus if you mess with it long enough. I wonder how much more really though. How much more speed would I get out of top end ram sticks instead of the Corsair set? Well like a guess haha. I guess that's hard to really answer.

One more thing about the psu. Does it matter if it's modular or not? Full? Semi? None?

I could probably pick betters parts for gaming, what's your budget? You have a small SSD which can get full with a few games
