Hello all!

This is my first post on this forum, hope you can help me here.

Im thinking about building a PC as of now all I've got is an Intel Atom netbook, and Im tired to not even being able to watch youtube videos fluently! So I'll start giving you an idea of what I've in mind with the PC parts that matter to the topic:

APU A8-6600k Processor
G.Skill F3-12800CL9D-4GBXL RAM
Asus AMD A55BM-A/USB3 A/L/V (FM2+) Mobo

(These 3 components have a price equivalent to 338 USD).

This according to my budget and PC parts available in the city I live.

The question, as its supposed APUs work better with higher RAM freqs, and the limit for the A8 is 1866 MHz, how can I raise up the freqs (once I get the gear) from 1600 to 1866? I've read its done putting more voltage to RAM up to 1.65 max, followed by setting timings higher from default 9-9-9-24 to 11-11-11-30 or similar.

Another one: How much benefit could someone get doing this procedure to an APU?

Thanks for reading.

Hail from Chile.
