replacement for G9x ?

Thread Starter
My G9x is acting up, after checking I think the cable is close to broken(randomly disconnect/reconnect), so I am looking for a replacement for it, cuz it's long passed 3 years.

since logictech is no longer making G9x, and I don't like G400/700 or whatever it offers, so I am thinking about getting a mouse from other marks, but here is the problem, I have been using this mouse for so long I have no idea about other marks....

1. What's your grip style?

claw grip, for small hands

2. What's your sensitivity?

mid , using 1200-1500 dpi on G9x,

3. What's your maximum budget?

60 euros

4. Do you want additional buttons?

yes, must have at lest 2 side buttons like G9x and a middle wheel can act like middle button

5. What games do you play?

Battlefield, Skyrim, CS:GO

6. Do you mind about prediction?

not so much

7. Other relevant information:

My hands sweat a lot while in games, so I am hoping to find a mouse with sweat proof cover, not wireless, button activation force more close to soft(but not too much), also I'd like to have a mouse with adjustable dpi levels, not those 1000/1500/1800, but like g9x, which can be add 50 dpi by step. and I am using a steelseries QCK pad right now, just put it here see if it changes with anything.

Thanks for the helps, and sorry for my English

Try getting a replacement cable instead of a brand new mouse, amazon has some logitech parts in stock

I would also try the Avior 7000 or M45, they are both good claw mice with a much better sensor than the G9X had.

I am in France, but G500s looks a bit big, I used MX500 before, not very confortable for my hands.

and I can't find Avior 7000 and M45, at lest not on amazon(where I usually buy things).

btw what do guys think about CM mouses?
My G9X died months ago I went on a mouse hunt and bought SteelSeries Sensei mouse it was a okay mouse 1 out 10 I would give it a 6 maybe..Then Corsair Vengeance M65 but too tall for my hand gave it a 7. Then I decided to try the Razer Mamba Elite 2012 Wireless Gaming Mouse (4G version 6400dpi) I'll tell you this thing is just awesome in wireless mode last for 12+ hours. And you can change the colors of the mouse and the stand to match your build color scheme, if that even matters. This mouse feels the same as my old GX9 mouse in my hand very comfortable. But it is over your budget but I highly highly recommend this mouse. My rating on this mouse a 10+

Remember it can change to any color you want PINK/RED/YELLOW/WHITE/ORANGE you decide the color.

thanks, but I am not big fan of wireless mouse(I do have a MS sidewinder X8 as backup mouse)and certainly not fan of these LED lights, the price is also too high for me.

I think the Death Adder has the same grip (or at least similar) but it is wired. Can someone confirm this if its true? I tend to avoid Razer like the plauge

I probably won't be of much help since I have huge hands and love my G500s. I can however point you in the direction of a few relevant threads...

http://www.overclock.net/t/1013465/best-sub-60-gaming-mouse-for-claw-grip/0_20

http://www.overclock.net/t/1139543/the-mouse-suggestion-thread/0_20

Either that or you can go the DIY route and spend $15 to replace the cable here:

http://www.amazon.com/quality-Original-Logitech-Replacement-repair/dp/B00EQ7CPKG

I'd opt for replacing the cable if you really like the mouse that you have already. A comfortable mouse and keyboard that you really like is worth some keeping around as long as you can.

So there is no better option for me it seems, right now all I can find in my local store is logitech or some razer mouses, or CM mouses(it's the 1st time I know CM does making mouses)

I think I may consider repair the damn cable instead, it's so much work to get use to another mouse.
