Nah, I didn't think you sounded that bad! Frustrated, definitely, but as a fellow who understands and wishes we did have that, I get it!

As for modding, I agree, it's always never that easy... but it sure is fun! biggrin.gif

On latest Galaxy Stock bios 80.80.21.00.5F I tried GPU-Z latest v0.7.8 but the VRM Temp sensor shows 0'c ? i've heard that the EVGA 780 classified shows the VRM temp? I am really surprised how the Galaxy GTX 780 HOF the Top tier quality doesn't show the VRM Temp??????

@karimzodiak

Unfortunately all 780 Ti cards are locked to 1.212 mV. Our cards can actually bypass that if we're able to source and find out if the daughter board ala evbot is available for resale. They showed this extra daughter board at CES and it was supposed to be released sometime (no specific date given). I have reached out to Galaxy (Andrew Fischer) their rep here on OCN (and Hard OCP)

We do have voltage readout points on the card! If you really want to find out the actual voltage you could just use a standard voltmeter (with alligator clips) to see it!

I really think that the voltage readout only becomes visible once you buy or get the daughter board which we're currently discussing.

It should be on the sensors tab and at the bottom, scroll down and you should see "VRM Temperature".

I just wanted to see since it's not visible when using the skyn3t bios. I/m not sure if it's really that way or something we can have fixed in the skyn3t bios.

Well I slapped the MK-26 on today. The big decision now is which 2 fans should I run, 2x140mm Swiftech Helix, or 2x120mm Corsair SP extreme performance.

Also, in GPU Z my card says its the A1 revision, am I get this confused with the picture of the die shown below displaying B1?

^ Are you using the latest GPU-Z (0.7.8)?

Have you also updated your bios to the recommended one by galaxy? You may be rocking the 1st gen bios and not the updated one If you need it, it's in the 1st post!

I most definitely have updated the bios to the one Galaxy provided to update it with. GPU Z 0.7.5 and 0.7.8 both show A1 still.

On another note, these heatsinks are massive and limit my use with SLI. I have a z87-g45 with 3 x16 slots but the 3rd one is 4x electrically so it doesn't work with SLI. My plan is to get a x16 to x16 riser and extend the 2nd one down past my motherboard, any move the non HOF 780 down a slot to give it better breathing room. The bad part is the longest cable I see is 178mm and it's $70 for a single one!!!

I was mining Groestl Coin for about an hour on the bottom 780 at it peaked out at 47C. At the same time, I played 2 hours worth of BF4 with a 100+ core and memory OC on the HOF and the max temp it hit was 57C for a moment. The average was 47C. I'm really liking the 2 Seiftech Helix that I picked up for $10 for both at Jab-tech.

First Congratulation for the Giant BEAST Prolimatech MK-26 wink.gif

My opinion if u choose from both fans above, i recommended the Swiftech Helix 140mm its white to fit with the HOF beast PCB ,Cover all the entire HOF and air flow 74.5 CFM Better cooling which is higher than the Corsair SP120 with air flow 62.74 CFM also the 140mm fans will be much quieter than the 120mm.
