NOTE: KFA2 is the name of Galaxy in Europe so owner's of those versions of the card, are definitely part of this small family! For KFA2 owners, links to the regular (non+) HOF cards below should be the same for your card specs and driver wise

Hey Guys!

I'm currently downloading the 334.89 drivers and it's slow as molasses! That's why I haven't been able to do any tests! I installed what was in the box which is 331.60 and I'll see what it boosts to! All I have is GPU-z, should that be good to see the boost state?

I'm new to Kepler so please forgive me if I come off as a complete noob... I'm coming from a 7950 so this is all Greek to me!

I'm going to try and download heaven and 3DMark to start things off, any other benchmarks you guys want me to run? Just the free ones please!

You're right, the difference is the aluminum backplate included in the 780 Ti.

As for the boost clocks, after running 3DMark11 and using GPU-z 0.7.7 to confirm, the max GPU core clock is 1125 Mhz. That is bone stock, not touching anything including voltage, temp limit, power limit, etc.

Have to run to work now, I'll post some more benchmarks when I get home!

Also, for the life of me I can't OC with MSI AB, does anyone have suggestions as to what I should use for my specific card? I don't think MSI AB has a profile for the HOF 780 Ti yet.

Before you overclock, push the black button on the card. The fans will ramp up when you do that.

And Galaxy's OC software doesn't work any better than PrecisionX. But with PrecisionX, you can set it up the onscreen display and watch your core frequency, memory usage, temperature etc.

I'll do that and use PrecisionX, I'd rather have an all in one solution like it (I'll use it once I flash the skyn3t bios)!

Ahh I should have called in sick so I could just run benchies and OC my rig!

No really you must push the button in like he said i forgot to mention it throttles like mad if you dont.
Fans get alittle loud like that so i just put a antec 625 on it .That was simple and i got to use the vrm and mem sinks that came with it.

And some bf4 temps with it and very stable clock for this card



BTW why cant u use afterburner?

Man I got a lot of things to do with this card! I need to test at stock, with the button (turbo) enabled, manually overclocked, and finally, the new skyn3t bios that he graciously modded after I sent him the stock bios via PM!

skyn3t finally posted the bios in HERE

He sent me a PM saying he was done with it and posted it at the official club for 780 Tis!

So much win I can't wait to go home and get things rolling!!!

Speaking of afterburner, I did the unlock via the settings and via the .cfg file and the voltage is grayed out. Is there something I'm missing? It looks like the 780 Ti HOF is not compatible yet...

I decided to push the GPU OC a bit more, here are the settings in Extreme Tuner Plus:



NOTE: With this setting I was only able to run 3DMark11 and Heaven 4.0. In 3DMark - Firestrike the GPU crashed. Not bad for stock base voltage I guess.

Next up is to OC my CPU, I need to install my NH-D14 on it, since it's currently using the Intel Stock Cooler!

It's obvious in 3DMark that i would have gotten much better scores if I had my CPU@4.5Ghz (I had it set to this before I changed mobos).

That's ok I've figured out a few things using galaxy's Extreme Tuner Plus. It also has an OSD, so you can see your FPS, Voltage, etc.

Just sent in a registration on a 780 HOF. I purchased this "new" off of fleabay and I have gone through a process with Galaxy to try and get the warranty transferred. So until then, I will be holding off on the upper limits of the volt modding.

I have made a risky investment for the most part and own 3 other 780's atm for mining purposes, and of course out of all of them the HOF by far is the fastest of the bunch. I have a reference evga 780 with a prolimatech mk 26 heatsink, and 2 Asus Direct Cu. What I do with these cards while mining, is aim for .950V with the highest clock speeds. The HOF will be 52-65mhz faster at the same voltage compared to the others, as well as have the best W/Khash ratio.

Has anyone checked out V1Tech before? I follow them on Instagram and here is a picture of custom acrylic backplates they fabricate. It would be awesome for my HOF!!
