cool so i just need to wait a little more than a week before they come out.

When I ordered a 17" sager for my boss, they said Sager would have them in house on the 21st, build them up and ship them in the order they received the orders in. I would get an order in if you're ready to order so you don't have to wait any longer than you have to.

No, theyre out now, there is no more ETA, so sager must have them in stock and xoticpc will continue taking orders as they have been. Should be a shorter turn around time than if you ordered it a couple of weeks ago.

I'll just be happy if my Sager gets here before I leave for my brother's wedding at the end of April. In the next two weeks would be preferable though.

if i go with the 860 kepler 4gig instead of the 860 maxwell 2 gig, besides vram, am i losing anything else by going with the kepler? Performance, battery, etc?

Supposedly the performance is similar. I would guess you would lose some battery life and overclock ability? I would think the biggest benefit is better cooling, and the ability to upgrade GPUs down the road.

You would really need to do some research on that topic to get a definite answer.

The kepler model is the card that can be upgraded right?

also i was wondering about the msata. i never had one. and the customization for the laptop allows for me to pick an msata that is "preconfigured" for an OS. (i am not going to have the OS installed by them, im going to install one myself) or i could get the msata that is not preconfigured for an OS.

Now, never dealing with an Msata before, is it being preconfigured a requirement to have the OS installed in it afterwards? Or can i have them not "preconfigure" it and still be able to install the OS myself?

Its probably a BIOS Setting to make it boot from the msata drive. I would think if you're buying it without an OS, just select configured for an OS drive and then when it arrives, it should make booting into the windows installer easier.

Yes the Kepler card is the one that can be upgraded.

To be clear the sager 7358 and 7378 are soldered GPUs with single heatpipe.

the 8268, 8278, 8258, and 8298 are MXM cards, and from what I think people have gathered, they are all kepler rebrands at this point.
