But I'm almost sure that I've changed all of those options before and the problem persisted, but I've reset the bios settings back to default since then. I also ran AMD OD's auto clock at one point and I don't know how to un-screw up the clock.

Lets get this fixed for you! APM is Advanced Power Management, yes. If you have reset the CMOS (which will return the bios settings to default) this will turn APM back on, if you had previously turned it off.

Once home, I can help you further also once you have a look in your Bios. I will be home in 4 hours or so also. So feel free to give us an update then! I'll make sure I come see how you get on!

Firstly, go have a look in the bios, and tell us if APM was enabled or disabled. While there, also note down the other setting in that same section of your bios. Speak this evening!

If he uninstalls AOD, and then just clears CMOS it has the same effect. AOD has an option to 'restore clocks' upon booting into windows.

OK , I've never used the AOD for much other than ram tuning. I have always found it a bit "quirky" , I do use AISuite for in windows clocking when benching but it's even worse than AOD at least in my experience

Yeah the best tool in AOD is the ability to tweak RAM timings in windows that, and the fact is showed us the new 70°C core limit tongue.gif - I'm thinking of uninstalling AI Suite - I want to be able to read my VRM sensors in HWinfo64, but seems to be a conflict or such. thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

Unless you're tweaking on the fly for a reason I would, both of those programs can cause issues with other sensor software.

Yeah I remember the first time I fired up HWinfo after moving up to the Sabertooth , it asked about reading those sensors, of course I say yes please - this gave me intermittent 'stutters' in my OS and pretty much anything I was doing!

Ya I generally recommend that people uninstall any of that Mobo packaged software at least until it's stable.
I take it from your Avatar you're playing Titanfall?? How is it??

I have to say from what I've seen and read it looks like a great game. Summer is coming and I'll have to wait till next fall to try it, just too busy. I still have assassins creed black flag sitting untouched.

Sorry OP - me and Johan should have taken this to PM!

... *and continues hehe* - Don't remind me of the list I have waiting... To finish: Far Cry 3, BioShock Infin and south park stick of truth. To start: Hitman Absolution, FC Blood Dragon currently! Can pick it up for £29.99 so gonna grab it and play as I move away from BF4 me thinks!

Thread Starter
Got into my BIOS and changed settings after resetting everything, target and frequency are now at factory default (3.1)

Cool 'n Quiet: Enabled -> Disabled
C1E: Enabled -> Disabled
Application Power Management: Auto -> Disabled
High Performance Computing: Disabled -> Enabled

I'm going to get Prime95 and see how it holds up, with what should I monitor it?

EDIT: I also turned Turbo Core off.
