If it's released in a quality and fully functional manner I don't see the issue with having two different games. Forza has always been leaning towards the arcade driving style. Yes you can make it fairly realistic, but it lends it's self to more casuals. Project cars will aim to please those who want a real racing sim with stunning attention to detail. I'm not a huge racing fan, but I'd not mind owning both games.

I can't argue with that but those performance gains pale in comparison to the time I've wasted trying to get used to that awful operating system multiple times. I'll stick with W7 and my SSD and have similar boot times and a much more positive and less stressful workflow. Can't even overclock your usb ports to 1000hz, why would I bother with an operating system that is so blatantly panned to the demographic and much much worse? I can't game with my WMO or IME comfortably, so there's really no point imo. Obv, I may be the minority (I'm hoping not) but I still have absolutely no incentive to switch other than the awful blackmail they're trying to push on users by dropping official support asap.

Nuff said.

It's all hype, marketing and PR... When the real non-broken, non-console ports come out, and we play them and review them. Then I'll be convinced.

You are not the minority. The users on OCN that preach the Windows 8/8.1/8.2 are the minority. They are just very good at pushing their views and making it seem like we are the dumb lot for sticking with W7. biggrin.gif

Either way, I refuse to upgrade to Windows 8.(whatever)

So much this. RTS gamers need more love, there's been too much catering to FPS players.

Ah, yes. The lovely "if it can't be played on a controller, it's worthless"-mindset that publishers have had since about the beginning of the 6th gen consoles.

Oh they are threatening us again.

When they pushed vista out the door, they said they where going to focus on games. And then made direct x 10 only for vista. Then they released the 11.1 only for windows 8. Then they announced that direct x 12 would used for consoles, phones, and pc's, But will not tell us if it will work on windows 7. Chances are, direct x 12 will only be for windows 8 and 9.

When Microsoft say they are going to focus on games, they mean they are going to limit options and force you to update your os to support the new system.

If microsoft really wanted to support gamers it would be release direct x as open source and allow it it to be picked by everyone.
