Questions about my A10-6700 and motherboard

So over the last 2 weeks I have assembled a cheapish gaming rig. As of now I have my gpu, case, and psu where I want them, but I feel the need to start toying with the CPU. As some of you are aware, the A10-6700 is locked. I have looked all over to see how to get around this. I know it can be done as I have read of results, but never the process. I have read that altering the BIOS of the motherboard is what would be needed, but the processor is what is lock, not the motherboard correct? I have also read of ways doing this involving the PLL, but this mainboard is very stingy with information, even information physically on it. I have also heard that this method isn't really great. I am relatively new to this, so I am not sure where to really begin reading or searching for answers. I would share a link to a post showing the results of somebody doing it, but I am not sure of forum rules regarding linking to other similar forums. And I am not worried about trying risky things, breaking this rig just means I get to build another. So any advice on what to try or where to start reading would be appreciated.

My system info in case it is relevant:

CPU: AMD A10-6700
Motherboard: F2A55-M/M11BB/BP_MB
Ram: 8 Gb DDR3 1600
GPU: MSI GTX 760 Twin Frozr
PSU: 500w LEPA N500

Oh and to clarify, this was at one point an Asus M11BB desktop that went through a transformation. The CPU, mainboard, and RAM are the only remaining original pieces.
